Analog is the equivalent of a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, which means 480 lines of detail visible. HDTV is available in two different resolutions: 1, 080i and 720 p. The former has more lines and pixels, but the latter has a progressive-scan format that provides an image easier during movement. Frame rate refers to the number of times a set creates a complete picture on the screen every second.
